PocketDAW support

PocketDAW 1.2.2 is live on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. The rename from Singer Keepers preserves the existing app identity, project formats, and storage.

Start a vocal project

  1. Tap New Project, name the project, and create it.
  2. Use Import Beat to choose a WAV, AIFF, M4A, MP3, or compatible audio file from Files.
  3. In Tracks, tap Record to create a New Vocal Take. To record into a named destination instead, tap Add Track, select that empty track, then tap Record. Microphone access is requested only when recording needs it.
  4. Use Mix for processing. Open Export from the project header or app menu for WAV or stem export. Use Lyrics for writing, offline rhyme tools, history, links, and teleprompter controls.

Permissions and connections

If recording is unavailable, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable PocketDAW. Optional LM Studio assistance also needs Local Network access and an explicitly configured server on your own network. Core recording, editing, lyrics, and deterministic mix guidance do not require an account or server.

Studio Assistant in version 1.2.2

On iPhone, tap Assistant in the bottom workspace bar, or tap a track or clip and choose Ask Assistant. On iPad, use Assistant beside the workspace selector; wider windows show a docked conversation. Track Advice and Mix Advice are available in the conversation without connecting a model.

For model-powered chat, run LM Studio on your computer, load a model that supports function tools, and enable its local server. In Assistant, open connection settings and enter your computer’s reachable local-network address with its server port. Choose the model identifier shown by LM Studio. On a physical iPhone or iPad, localhost refers to the phone or tablet, so use the computer’s network address. Review the displayed destination and sharing choices before Send.

Assistant supports a defined set of studio tools. It shows proposed changes for review before Apply, and reports unavailable capabilities. Model responses can be wrong; review the exact change and use Before/After when offered. If the connection fails or the model does not support tools reliably, continue with the manual studio controls. Stop ends an active request; Clear Conversation removes the local chat history.
